`Iliahi (sandalwood) 4oz bar

Polynesians arriving in Hawai`i would have discovered vast swaths of endemic `Iliahi or sandalwood trees growing on Maui's Haleakalā. They discovered that the heart wood not only had a delightful scent for Kapa clothing, but that the leaves and bark could be mix with wood ash to treat lice and dandruff.

Due to overharvesting, habitat loss, and invasive trees and animals these plants are now endangered and highly protected. 

Our `Iliahi Sandalwood Soap has a blend of woody and spicey notes. Reminding us of the scent that Hawai`ian people once cherished and to reminding us to mālama i ka ʻāina or "Care for the Land".
